End of spam? I think not!
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/2345731.stm While certainly a way forward, I doubt services that aim to eliminate spam will ever work 100%. I can’t see a system that can remove all your spam without ditching shedloads of legitimate email, as the spammers will learn the systems and algorithms and make their messages work around them. Having said that, anything that reduces it is fine by me. The best method I have found is to get a domain where you can have *@domain email addresses and use a unique address for each public place or email list, that way you can work out the culprit and cut it off at source.
Sky sells BT Broadband
“Sky will punt BT’s frill-less high-speed Net access service, BT Broadband, to its high-spending customers.” But why ADSL, not through satellite? Surely Sky should be promoting Sat technology? http://www.sky.com/skycom/article/1,,70047-1066911,00.html

Spammers find a new channel
If you get strange windows popup messages appearing, it is possible you have received a new form of spam that is being sent using the windows message service (not to be confused with MSN Messenger). The system uses the system alerts that sys admins use to send messages that the server is going down (see “net send” from the command line). http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/4/27634.html

The evidence is contained in two surveys published recently which focus on the stresses of office life and the benefits of teleworking.”
