After about a week I finally have a couple of page one results for semi-money terms for my new site. It’s always a nice feeling, particularly when it happens so fast. Perhaps my terms are not prone to the sandbox/deepfreeze, or maybe it is because I used a subdomain. Either way, woohoo 
I also see that http://search.msn.com is showing beta results for me and I do quite well there and in Yahoo!. They seem to favour on page factors a bit more than Google. Strange thing with MSN is the pages I linked from rank higher that the pages I link to on occasion which must be down to their PR equivelant, or possibly because of authority.
While I am on the topic of getting results, I also notice in my inbox that Max Blumberg is getting some Google Love - congratulations Max Check out his site, he shares some interesting articles and ideas.
