Good piece by the way - if you ever want to post over on http://idleparis.co.uk feel free ;0,

There is still a lot of things to iron out with the iPhone. There's been a few niggley bugs discovered as you would expect from new tech. You have to keep in mind; howmany phones have Apple made before compared with the likes of Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Motorola? The iPhone is still a very lovely thing, albeit with a tiny camera, no video capture, as far as I'm aware no external speakers, etc. It's not perfect, but then few cult items are and it will be popular for a very longtime. Lets face it, the iPod wasn't the best on the market on release but the name is generally used when referring to any MP3 player (I was a Creative Zen Juke Box man myself).

I'm awaiting v2 and then might jump on board. My N95 does everything wonderfully and has 'useful' things like a bar-code reader as well as the GPS, word processor, spreadsheet and presentation s/ware - I can even buy a bluetooth kepboard for it :0P
