Hardly surprising people are nervous

I keep hearing and reading things like this from an apparently “Old-line Republican

preparing us for another 9/11 event or series of events,” Roberts continued. “Chertoff has predicted them. … The National Intelligence Estimate is saying that al Qaeda has regrouped. … You have to count on the fact that if al Qaeda’s not going to do it, it’s going to be orchestrated. … The Republicans are praying for another 9/11.”

I am reading so many things like this that I actually believe it now. Either a big “terrorist” attack is going to be allowed to happen, or some pretext is going to be used to attack Iran. While I would hate to fully believe the former, I think the latter is highly likely, what with the PNAC report and those carrier groups rattling sabres just outside their borders.

It could be I read too much Digg and BoingBoing.

Somebody give me a different perspective? And not referencing Fox News please?

If the Americans are getting their arse roundly kicked in Iraq it is hard to see how they wouldn’t get it kicked harder in Iran.

Even the UK government wouldn’t be dumb enough to do that..and they’re pretty dumb.

It seems they believe they can do it all with bombardment, shock and awe version 2, hence the air and sea build up?
