It amazes me how many interesting jobs are sent to me by headhunters, recruitment consultants and well-meaning contacts. I have no problem with this – in fact it is something I would like to encourage
– other than the fact everyone always assumes I have a degree. I don’t. This automatically disqualifies me from 99.9999% of the interesting jobs I could go for even if I wanted to.
Is there only me thinks it strange that if I was a graduate, say with a degree in pottery, then my CV would get into the pile but right now it would end up in the bin? Or maybe I really am being stupid and of course I must be a dimwit unless I am a “bachelor” of something?
