In describing the JPG365 project on Twitter I said it was like creating a visual diary, and you know what? I think it makes a really good diary. It’s fun to look over your past year in photographic format. Here is a sample of our 2010. In fact it was difficult to choose one picture for each month because so much happened!
After a brief discussion on Twitter a group of folks and I are going to take part in a “picture a day challenge”.
Here are the details:
- Any topic
- Any camera
- Shared how you like
- If you are a twitter user, use the hash tag #jpg365
- If you are flickr user, use the tag jpg365
- Just make sure you take at least one picture a day and share it 🙂
Why do this?
Because it is fun, it is practice, and it is a social way to further your photography hobby 🙂
I just updated my jpg365 Flickr set here
Chicago has been beautifully sunny for us so far. We had a great cruise down the river onto the lake with fascinating architecture commentary. The Apple store almost did its magic on Clare, she wanted an iPad but I held her off buying until I had done some research about UK compatibility. Perhaps Chris Brogan will have some advice at Sobcon? Seems there has been snow in Calgary while we have been here, hope it goes away before we get there so we can get everything done that we need to. Things are moving forward .. We have had one viewing of our house (after one day on Market) so might be buying our Canadian house sooner than we thought!
Sadly our trip down under is coming to an end, but we are still enjoying our travels. We are now in Melbourne and are looking forward to exploring this cool city. Cool is a good word for it, the place seems great but is under half the temperature of Sydney which had reached almost 40c before dropping to rain before we left! We thought we had left the need for coats and wooly socks at home but hopefully the weather will turn for the better today so we can hit the beach before meeting up with Darren and his wife for a meal tonight 🙂
