This was me defending blogging in a thread in a SEM/Tech site.
Later that year I handed in my notice and went full time. It’s really cool to find this and discover that I did what I set out to do, and that it worked out ok 
It’s also strangely cool to think the vast majority of people who find me online now have no clue that I used to be an IT and programming geek.
Of course this is a continuous process and I still have a ways to go before I am any where near to having “made it”, but these little milestones are a nice way to stay motivated and learn if I am on the right path
