I have been working on starting doing internet marketing for a contact who is building
a VERY nice online camera store. We are talking some brilliant prices on all the very
best equipment. Very nice gear.
While he gets his store up and working I have been pounding the keywords research
and competition.
Theory is all well and good, but nobody will know for sure until someone buys. I don’t
like relying on guesswork and instinct. In fact, more often than not my advice is
usually “let’s test it”.
So without a store to point stuff at I have done the next best thing, point it at
amazon.
A lot of you affiliate marketers out there will be going “Chris, Nooooooooooo!” but
ah-ha! Positive ROI!
I’m not an expert on amazon by any means, and the little best practice when dealing
with that particular store I have largely ignored, but still. Even with Amazons miserly
commission and cookie policies! Positive ROI is positive ROI. With a bigger
budget and more time I could safely make some little cash with this until the product
goes out of fashion.
This got me interested in the whole amazon thing, maybe I should look to amazon more
often. CJ has been a waste of money for me, and I don’t like the interface.
I stickied a contact on WMW who has given me some great advice. Hmmmm .. I think I
should put a decent budget together and have a proper go
